Inorganic primer or not?

In order to improve the service life of the interior wall paint, not prematurely peeling off and repainting without removing the old wall paint and putty layer, the interior wall should also use water-resistant putty. However, water-resistant putty has high strength and is difficult to polish, so painters are reluctant to use it, resulting in the use of low-strength non-water-resistant putty for domestic walls. If inorganic primer is not brushed, inorganic topcoat may appear peeling and cracking problems when painted directly on the surface of this kind of putty. It is very necessary to use inorganic primer to strengthen the treatment first, the putty layer after inorganic primer treatment can improve both water resistance and strength, and then painted inorganic topcoat, safety is guaranteed.

The old wall surface painted with engineering interior wall latex paint on ordinary interior wall putty has high porosity and strong absorption, and can also be reinforced with inorganic primer when recoating and renovating, which eliminates the trouble of shoveling out the old coating and saves a lot of labor and material costs. After the inorganic primer treatment of the old wall, you can directly paint ordinary latex paint, you can also paint inorganic coatings, do not have to worry about the risk of peeling off.

The dilution ratio of inorganic primer and the number of coating channels depend on the absorption of the substrate to decide, but after drying the surface should not be obvious gloss, otherwise it may affect the adhesion of inorganic topcoat.

The PVC of traditional emulsion-based transparent primer or masking primer is low, it is easy to produce a glossy film and affect the adhesion of inorganic topcoat, and generally cannot be used in conjunction with inorganic topcoat.

Inorganic primer can strengthen the substrate, improve the hydrophobicity, while maintaining good air permeability, with inorganic topcoat also has good compatibility, can provide better protection and can reduce the occurrence of salt precipitation phenomenon.
